ABOUT COLLEGE

Satyawati College is a constituent College of the University of Delhi. It was established in the year 1972 by the Government of Delhi. The College is named after a great freedom fighter, Behen (Sister) Satyawati, grand-daughter of Swami Shraddhanand,who worked in close association with leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Jai Prakash Narain and Sarojini Naidu.She toiled incessantly, till her death at an early age of 39 years, towards uprooting poverty, ignorance, and communalism.
She was named Toofani Behen (Stormy Sister) by Mahatma Gandhi, for her zeal and determination.

I have been given the opportunity to contribute to the distinguished legacy of development and progress of Satyawati college. Since its establishment in 1972, the college has progressed both in terms of infrastructure and quality of students. In 2016, the college was awarded an A grade by the National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC). Its competent and committed faculty contributes significantly to motivating students and enabling them to excel in the field of academics and also develop the right vision,
confidence, and sense of responsibility to be able to make the best use of their education and training and become noble and dedicated citizens.
