Overview
Saksham, the Career counselling, Placement and Entrepreneurship Cell of Satyawati College (Morning) is managed by a team of more than 100, including students of different courses. It aims to provide opportunities of internship and employment to the students of the college. Workshops for the overall developmental skills, seminars as well as talks are regularly organized which enable the students to gain an expansive insight into the current condition and state of the job market. HRs of big companies are invited regularly for internships that expose the students to the market, ensuring that they are well equipped for placements. From time to time the team organizes various seminars related to career counselling, resume writing, tricks of acing in interviews, having one’s own start-up. These seminars help the students to gain a clear and transparent view of their careers and to hone their soft skills. Career Expo as well as placement and internship webinars are encouraged, inviting the Resource Manager Smriti Jain of KPMG, Priya Bathla (Consultant) of EY CAFTA Bites and others including Okaya, Chegg, Trav Clan and Josh Talks. INNOVISION 2021, the annual Placement and Internship Fair, held online, witnessed the participation of more than 70 companies, working towards providing opportunities to the students to connect to their organizations. More than 3000 registrations were done, that included MBA students to graduates. The E-summit observed the engagement of diverse speakers such as IAS Dr. Bimal Kumar Dubey, Dravisha Katoch (Personal Branding Expert), Sharad Kohli (Founder & Chairman of the KCC Group), Nishant Parmar (YouTuber) and Appurv Gupta’s magic show and stand-up comedy session.
Placement offers witnessed a 30 per cent increase last year, acquiring the highest stipend of 10 LPA on campus and 15 LPA off campus.
