Aim and Moto

Cineपट, the Film Society is about Film Appreciation, cinematography and short Film Making and screening. Cine‡§™‡§ü aims to make conscious and artistically poignant films that break new
barriers in student cinema. The society has ventured into genres like experimental, drama
and children's short films, to travel films and event coverage in college.

Participations and Achievements of Students

Script Writing Competition and that was followed by Film quiz competition in order to enhance the imagination of the students in the particular context Films and Cinema. Around hundred students participated in the both competitions.
The society organised an Act it out competition for the students where they can can give wings to their thoughts.
1st February 2021- Shoot of a short Film.

In order to give a direct and not vicarious experience to the students, the society made arrangement to shoot a short film ‚ 'Paradise and lost' in collaboration of Ankit NGval production in the Auditorium of the college. The said short film is about the human dependency on machine and internet addiction which became new challenges for the modern global society. It is about the conflict between human and artificial intelligence in the future. Many students participated and acted in the film. It was a unique opportunity for students to experience the process of film making from close quarters. From student's perspective it was productive event in the context of learning of basic elements of making movies.

Annual Report 2019-20

cineपट - The film society of Satyawati college (D) is convened by Mr. Ishwar Dan and its comprised of faculty members of different Departments of the College includes—Dr. Kavita Rajan, Dr. Saroj Gupta, Dr. Ashutosh Goswami, Dr. Anupam Sunny, Dr. Rakesh kr. Singh, Dr. Swadesh Singh, Mrs. Sonam Gupta, Mrs. Swasthi Sharma and Mrs. Raheena.
4th August 2019- The first meeting of the Film Society was held. The faculty members of the said society decided to hold interview(s) for the selection of new student members and prepared a draft for the coming events in the Academic year.
7th August 2019- The faculty members of the society organised interview session for the incorporation of new student members. A large a number of students showed interest to become active member of the society and turned up to appear in the interview session. The interview was largely based on varied aspects of the films, documentaries, cinema and particularly technological aspects and uses of different software(s) that are utile for editing.
9th August 2019- The results were announced for the student office bearers of the society and along with this a student working committee was also setup to further assist the smooth running of the said society.

21st August 2019- The society organised a Master class on Cinematography. In doing so Mr. Rajesh Tailang, an eminent film and theatre personality, was also invited to guide the students and to share his experience in Cinema ki Duniya. The said programme was held in the Computer Lab of the College. Many faculty members were also presented and participated the lively discussion.
26th September 2019- Orientation programme was held in which students and faculty members gave their ideas and opinions towards to discuss the new events of the society.
17th October 2019- The Society, under the guidance of its faculty members, organised a Script Writing Competition and that was followed by Film quiz competition in order to enhance the imagination of the students in the particular context Films and Cinema. Around hundred students participated in the both competitions.
8th November 2019- The society organised a Film screening of movie ‚'TRAFFIC' and film review competition in our seminar room.
17th January 2020- The society organised a Film screening of movie ‚'I AM KALAM' and a documentary movie ‚ÄòFROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT‚Äô which enlightened the students about India‚Äôs social problems and child issues. The film screening was followed by film review competition in our seminar room.
7th February 2020- The society organised an Act it out competition for the students where they can can give wings to their thoughts. (not clear)
March 2020 onwards, the Society could not organise its proposed workshop, seminar and cultural Fest due to the global pandemic COVID-19.

This period has been very difficult and unprecedented time not just for the college and the society but for the world also. Where human inter-personal interaction has taken back seat. Despite this our society has tried to organise some events according to covid-19 protocol and also on virtual platform.
24th January 2021- The society organised a Film workshop on film making.
1st February 2021- Shoot of a short Film.
