Aim and Moto
The main objectives of National Service Scheme (NSS) are :
i. understand the community in which they work
ii. understand themselves in relation to their community
iii. identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem-solving
iv. develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility
v. utilise their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems
vi. develop competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities
vii. gain skills in mobilising community participation
viii. acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitudes
ix. develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters and
x. practise national integration and social harmony.
NSS Logo:
The logo for the NSS has been based on the giant Rath Wheel of the world famous Konark Sun Temple (The Black Pagoda) situated in Orissa, India. The Red & Blue colors contained in the logo motivate the NSS Volunteers to be active & energetic for the nation-building social activities. The wheel portrays the cycle of creation, preservation and release and signifies the movement in life across time and space, The wheel thus stands for continuity as well as change and implies the continuous striving of NSS for social change.
NSS Badge:
The NSS logo is embossed on the badge of NSS. The eight bars in the wheel of NSS logo represent the 24 hours of a day. The red colour indicates that the volunteer is full of young blood that is lively, active, energetic and full of high spirit. The navy blue colour indicates the cosmos of which the NSS is tiny part, ready to contribute its share for the welfare of the mankind.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
AUG 2020, ONLINE PLATFORM-
"A nation's strength ultimately consists in what it can do on its own, and not in what it can borrow from others"
A strong, confident, and “aatmanirbhar” (self-reliant) India is essential not just for itself, but for the sake of larger global good, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on 74th Independence Day. An exclusive competition was organized by the NSS Satyawati unit on 73 years of freedom. The topic for the competition was chosen as self-reliant India. The chief guest for the same was our honourable principal mam Professor Nirmal Jindal. Arrangements of the competition were under our NSS Satyawati units program officer Dr Rakesh Kumar Singh. For the competition students of the NSS unit were asked to slogan writing poetry writing and poster making on the topic of self-reliant India. Students were informed about the competition 2 days before the competition on 13 August 2020 and they were asked to mail their work on the mail ID of the NSS Satyawati unit It was heartening to get overwhelming responses from students who showed a lot of interest in the competition. Students were encouraged by the positive feedback record from everyone. Our Principal also encouraged students to participate in the competition and the good works they have prepared, she also stated that such initiatives had always been taken by the NSS Satyawati unit to spread awareness among all other people in the society and to highlight the main areas of the society.

YOGA WITH KUSH PANCHAL
AUG 2020, ONLINE PLATFORM-
"Yoga not just changes the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees."
Yoga, an Indian civilizational asset flourishing from thousands of years, has become a trendsetter now-a-days in maintaining our physical health as well as mental well-being. It helps us in improving our flexibility, strength and attaining balance in our lives.
Keeping this legacy in our mind, the NSS Unit of Satyawati College (M) organised an enriching webinar session "Yoga with Kush" on 18th of August, 2020 at 07:30 PM under the theme- "योग: प्राणायाम से प्राण बचाओ". The guest for the event was Mr. Kush Panchal, an accomplished Yoga Trainer who guided the participating volunteers about Yoga and it's various aspects along with:-
* Meditation Techniques
* Yoga for Back Pain
* Effective fat loss home exercises
* Staying motivated in Covid-19 Pandemic
* Stress management techniques
And as they say "Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self and to the self", the event included live Yoga practice by the participants under the guidance of our expert guest followed by a question-answer session where the young minds learned many new things. This was in no way less than a life-changing experience for everyone.

FIT INDIA MOVEMENT
SEP 2020, ONLINE PLATFORM-
"Fitness has zero investment and hundred percent return"
The NSS Unit of Satyawati College organised a Quiz-cum-Awareness programme and a virtual morning Yoga session on 08th September, 2020 under the Fit India Movement, a nationwide campaign in India to encourage people to remain healthy and fit by including physical activities and sports in their daily lives. The participation in the events took place by filling up the Google Forms which were provided to the participants in the Bio section of the Official Instagram handle of NSS Unit of Satyawati College at the specified time. The programme received overwhelming response from various parts of the country. To encourage the participants, e-certificates were also provided to the top 30 performers.
Motivated by the thought- "Fitness should be a standard of living, you have to encourage yourself to become fit", a virtual Yoga session was also organised for the NSS volunteers along with the awareness programme. This was done to create awareness among the future citizens of our country to take up fitness as a part of their daily lifestyle. It was surely a fun experience and definitely an educational one too!

NSS WEEK - POSTER MAKING COMPETITION
SEP 2020, ONLINE PLATFORM-
Owing to the annual celebration of NSS week, the NSS unit of Satyawati College had organized a Poster Making Competition on September 21, 2020. This thrilled competition was monitored under the guidance of our Principal Prof. Nirmal Jindal and Programme Officer Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh. It was open for all and students present across the nation marked their auspicious entry. For the convenience of participants two distinct topics were given so that they can opt one according to their comfort zone. The first one being "Modern Culture of India'' under which students could evolve and learn about Indian culture in the modern world whereas the second one stood as " Benefits of Yoga and Fitness" which exercises the liberty to put forth yoga and fitness to achieve the supreme state of mind. The winners of this vigorous competition were Kasui Malhotra along with the 1st and 2nd Runner Ups Rushanka Joseph Kottakal and Sangita Shenoy respectively. The top 3 performers who outlasted the best were glorified with e-certificates.

NSS WEEK - POETRY COMPETITION
SEP 2020, ONLINE PLATFORM-
On september 22, 2020, a Poetry Competition was organised to mark the celebration of NSS week in Satyawati College, University of Delhi. The virtual platform gave an opportunity to all the aspiring poets of the nation to glorify their written works on the topic “Social Issues”. The topic is precisely chosen to raise the prevailing social issues on a wider platform. Many young poets in the country had participated in the vigorous event, organised under the guidance of our Principal Prof. Nirmal Jindal and Programme Officer Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh.
Participants had the liberty of submitting their writings in the form of documents. The winners awarded in the event were Mobani Biswas, Mohmad Sibtain Kadri, and Pooja Tiwari as Winner and runners up respectively. A token of appreciation in the form of digitally verified e-certificates were presented to the winners.

NSS WEEK - WEBINAR BY DR. KAJAL TEHRI
SEP 2020, ONLINE PLATFORM-
Amidst the celebration of the NSS week, a webinar was organized by the NSS unit of Satyawati College on 23rd September, 2020 on the topic “Importance of meditation in today’s scenario” at 5:00 pm. The platform selected for the same was Zoom. The hosts for the event were Pooja Kumari and Riya. This enriched webinar was addressed by Dr. Kajal Tehri ma'am along with programme officer Dr. Rakesh Kumar singh. She enlightened the virtual audience regarding mediation and its importance for staying healthy in unforeseen circumstances. The session started with the introduction of the guest host by the conveyors followed by an in-depth discussion on meditation. The events ended with the vote of thanks by the programme officer along with the hosts for the session. The event proved to be a successful one and helped the volunteers to pave their way towards a healthy lifestyle.

NSS WEEK - Webinar on New Education Policy & Atma Nirbhar Bharat
SEP 2020, ONLINE PLATFORM-
One day webinar on ' New Education Policy and Atmanirbhar Bharat' was organised by National Service Scheme (Satyawati College) on the special occasion of 'NSS Constructive Day '.
This wonderful programme was coordinated by Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh who is currently working in the National service scheme (Satyawati College) as a Programme Officer. The programme was put up completely under his guidance. The chief guest of this programme was Prof. Kuldeep Chand Agnihotri, the Vice Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University. Dr.Balram Pani (Delhi University) and Captain Parminder Sehgal (Delhi University) were special guests of this event. Prof. Sudhir Kumar Singh (Jawaharlal Nehru University) , Dr.Ajay kumar Jha (Delhi University) and Professor Vivek Kumar Nigam (Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, Allahabad University) were present as speakers of this programme. All volunteers of the National Service Scheme, other students of this college joined this wonderful programme and made the event a successful one. Many important points were made by speakers. Almost every speaker remarked, "India then will be self-reliant when it will work according to its self made policies'' ' in the context of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'. New Education Policy was welcomed by almost every speaker. Selfless services and dedication of the volunteers for NSS were appreciated by Captain Parminder Sehgal, and praised by everyone. At the end of the event, Dr. Nirmal Jindal, the principal, gave her vote of thanks to the chief guests, spokesperson, and everyone who was present in the event. Principal Ma'am also gave a motivational speech. As per the instructions of the principal, honorable Dr. Rakesh kumar Singh, event organiser, also gave his vote of thanks to each and everyone present and successfully concluded this wonderful event.

NSS WEEK - ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION -

"Yoga is the perfect opportunity to be curious about who you are."
An inter college yoga competition was organised by the NSS unit of Satyawati College (Morning) amidst the celebration of "NSS WEEK 2020". The event went on for five days, that is from 21 September to 25 September 2020.
The participants sent their two minutes video clips of exercise and yoga on the email id of NSS Satyawati, showing a beautiful display of confidence, strength and flexibility. We could also encounter unity among the peers and their families. Among all the participants, the top performers were awarded with E-certificates and special mentions.

ONLINE PLEDGE CEREMONY - TO COMBAT COVID-19

OCT 2020, ONLINE PLATFORM-
NSS Unit of Satyawati College, Delhi University took a pledge to fight against the deadly Covid-19 virus by obeying all the guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the Government of India.
The pledge had been taken up by the whole unit. Moreover, all of us took note of the necessary precautions to be taken up. We, as the volunteers, not only took a pledge for ourselves, but also promised to spread the word about the precautions with their peers, relatives and people who couldn’t have access to the necessary information about the mighty COVID-19 virus. The whole pledge taking ceremony was organised on online platforms keeping in mind the ongoing situation and the maintenance of the required distance. All the volunteers had pledged to fight together and stand against this fatal virus, no matter how difficult the situation gets. Some volunteers were also seen wearing their NSS T-shirts which also proved the amount of strength and accountability they receive, every time they wear them. It was indeed amazing to know how united we all can be, even if we belong from diversified cultures and fields.
The pledge taken by the Volunteers goes as follow -
"We, the NSS Volunteers, commit to be vigilant and bear in mind at all times the risk to protect myself and my colleagues from Covid-19.
We promise to take all necessary precautions that prevent the spread of this deadly virus.
We promise to follow and encourage others to follow the key COVID appropriate behaviors.
To always wear a mask/face cover, especially when in public places.
To maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet from others.
To wash our hands, frequently and thoroughly with soap and water.
Together we will win this fight against Covid-19. "

‘Let Us Stand Tall And Unite , Because the Foundation of True Freedom is Unity'
On the birth anniversary of independent India’s first home minister , 'Sardar Vallabhhbai Patel ' , also celebrated as National Unity Day , the NSS Unit of Satyawati College, Delhi University pledged to make efforts to maintain and enhance the national integration and unity , following the footprints of the Iron Man of India . We pledged to enhance the cultural richness and diversity of the country , at the same time maintaining the status of Unity in Diversity. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was instrumental in the independence struggle of the country , and then renowned as the Iron Man of India , for the integration of over 500 princely states into the Union of India . He used Kautaliya’s wisdom and Shivaji Maharaj’s bravery to achieve the great feat of uniting India after independence. We pledged 'to make efforts to grow from strength to strength , and to always stay united.’

RECRUITMENT PROCESS OF NEW VOLUNTEERS
DEC 2020, ONLINE PLATFORM-
The Smallest Act of Kindness is worth more than the Grandest Intention.
Seeing the rapid increase in Covid-19 cases, NSS Satyawati College conducted Recruitment Drive for the New Volunteers through online mode as per University Guidelines.
With the acknowledgement of the respected Principal Dr. Nirmal Jindal and our Programming Officer Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh the Recruitment Drive started on 31st December, 2020. With an approximation of 300+ students filling the Google Registration form from which 100+ qualified to the Interview Round.
Our Core Team started the rigorous Interview process and within 3 days span, 30 New Volunteers were registered in the NSS 2021 batch. It was heartwarming and overwhelming to get amazing responses from the students. Seeing the enthusiasm and determination of the new volunteers, we expect that they would serve the motto of NSS “NOT ME BUT YOU” rightly.

YOUTH DAY
JAN 2021, ONLINE PLATFORM-
“I have faith in my country and especially in the youth of my country" - Swami Vivekananda
Youth is the future of any country and is considered as the pride of the nation. In this Regards, the Birthday of Swami Vivekananda is dedicated as National Youth Day. NSS Satyawati Unit celebrated this Youth Day by organizing a grand Essay Writing Competition on the Contribution of Youth in Nation Building. All the Volunteers actively participated and promoted this competition on various social media platforms and we got more than 70+ responses. It was really hard to choose the best because everyone put their heart, their feelings in this energetic theme. Our Programming Officer Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh and Our Core team put in a lot of effort and chose the best 3 among them. The Results for the same were as follows: Preeti Singh from Shaheed Rajguru College secured 1st position, Anurag Gupta from Rajdhani College secured 2nd position and Diksha Bansal from Vivekananda College secured the 3rd position. Winners got an Appreciation Certificate and participation certificate was delivered to all the participants. The competition was praised by the principal and all the participants. NSS Satyawati celebrated this Youth Day in a real manner.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME
FEB 2021, ONLINE PLATFORM-
Orientation Programme On the topic "Role of Nation Building" ON 28th February which commenced from 4:00 PM onwards.
It was overwhelming to host the orientation programme on such a larger scale.
We could encounter learnings and discussions about the role of nation building and a lot more.
The programme was honoured by the Presence of Various Eminent guests, namely,
1. Chief Guest - Dr. Jitendra Mani Tripathi, DCP Metro, Delhi Police
2. Guest of Honour- Dr. Naveen Kumar Rai, Deputy Commandant, SSB, Govt. Of India.
3. Dr. Nirmal Jindal, Principal,Satyawati College.
4. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh, NSS PO.
The guests guided and motivated the students with their valuable words by sharing their experiences. The new volunteers took an active part. All in all it was an interactive session.

INT’ WOMEN’S DAY - ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION

As rightly said,
"There is no tool for development more effective than the empowerment of women."
To celebrate International Women's Day, NSS unit of Satyawati organized an Essay Writing Competition on the Topic - "Women Empowerment in the 21st Century".
A huge number of students from different regions of colleges participated and expressed their ideas and thoughts which emerged from different points of views. Moreover, on this note of judgement, the winners were awarded with e-certificates.

INT’ WOMEN’S DAY - WEBINAR ON THE TOPIC : WOMEN EMPOWERMENT IN 21ST CENTURY
MAR 2021, ONLINE PLATFORM-
On day 2 of International Women's Day, NSS Satyawati, organized a Webinar on the topic " Women Empowerment in the 21st century " The Programme started at 3:00 P.M. onwards on the Google Meet platform.
The programme was joined by various eminent guests, namely --

The Programme focussed on the challenges faced by women throughout the world. The Guests shared their life stories and highlighted the need to take action on women's rights.
NSS Volunteers took an active part and talked about famous women throughout history who have broken these gender barriers , worked hard for their rights and have made progress in various fields. All in all, it was an interactive session.
SECOND EVENT OF DAY 2 -
On day 2 of International Women's Day, NSS Satyawati, organized a Poetry competition on the topic " Women Empowerment in the 21st century ", where students from various colleges participated in good numbers and showed their skills of creativity and winners were awarded with e-certificate.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
JUN 2021, ONLINE PLATFORM-
A 5-day session on the commemoration of the 7th ‘international yoga day was organised by the NSS unit of Satyawati College traversing from 16th June to 20th June.
● (16th - 17th JUNE )
The first and second day (16-17th June) conducted ‘Beginner Yoga Workshop' by Aarti Singh in which preoccupation was on enacting light yogas by all volunteers making their body habituated. These two days were followed by two webinars on the 3rd and 4th days of the session.
● ( 18th JUNE )
The first webinar was conducted by Tara Dixit on the subject ‘Bring the healthiest change in your life by Yoga’ on 18th June.
● (19th JUNE )
The second webinar(Yoga for Calm and Stable Mind) was on 19th June at 5 -6 P.M by the two speakers i.e BK Husain and BK Muskaan from famous Brahma Kumaris directing on the primacy of meditation and also performed it for 10 minutes for unwinding our mind.
● (20th JUNE )
A short video acquiring yoga along with their family was shot by the NSS volunteers on 20th June fulfilling the last day of the session.
Nonetheless, it verged only 5 days but made our mind and body soothing and placid.

NSS REPORT(2019-20)
NSS REGISTRATION (Coordinated by Jayant and Vandana)
NSS Satyawati started its registration programme for the new session. The registration desk for offline registration was placed in front of college auditorium with two volunteers providing forms to the students. The online registration link was also circulated. 350 students in total registered for the new session.
NSS INTERVIEW(Coordinated by Avinash and Sonia)
NSS Satyawati started its selection process for the new session with the Interview round. Interviews were conducted by a panel of judges which included teachers from different departments. Students were judged on the basis of different traits, and the most capable ones were selected. The Programme Officer did his best to ensure diversity among the selected volunteers. It was a lengthy process but we got the best talent from different courses. The list of selected students was published on the notice board of the college.
UDGAM: NSS ORIENTATION PROGRAMME(Coordinated by Rohan and Shashwat)
The National Service Scheme of Satyawati College organized its Orientation programme – ‘UDGAM’ on 22nd August, 2019. The event was honored by the gracious presence of the following dignitaries:
▪ Chief Guest- Dr. Uday Pratap Singh, President, Hindustani Academy, Prayagraj, UP
▪ Guest of honor- Dr. Avanijesh Awasthi, Associate Professor, University of Delhi
▪ Special Guest- Mr. Anurag Ojha, Advocate, Supreme Court
The programme initiated with the lightening of the lamp, followed by the melodious Saraswati Vandana. Then, the NSS Programme Officer, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh felicitated the guests. The guests enlightened the volunteers on the theme 'Role of NSS in Nation Building'. The newly recruited NSS Volunteers shared their plans, strategies and agendas through which they could make a difference in the community. The programme ended with the vote of thanks.
LIVE SCREENING OF VIDEO CONFERENCE
On 23rd August, 2019, at around 11.00 am, the volunteers watched the live screening of the video conference of Youth and Sports Minister Mr. Kirren Rijiju with the sports head of different states. In the video, the ministers discussed the various initiatives taken by their respective states. It was a very enriching experience for the volunteers as the pre-launchof “Fit India Movement” to be launched by the Honorable PM Shri Narendra Modi on 29th August,2019, which is celebrated as the National Sports Day.
FIT INDIA MOVEMENT(Coordinated by Ribhu and Rajendra)
The NSS volunteers organized a campaign ‘Fit India Movement’ on 27th August to spread awareness among everyone about the importance of being fit and healthy. In the campaign, the volunteers displayed posters highlighting the importance of exercise, yoga and sports in the daily life of people. The volunteers ran across the college ground spreading the message of regular exercise and healthy living. They took the initiative to make everyone aware about the importance of staying fit.
SWACHHATA PAKHWARA(Coordinated by Shreya and Himank)
The volunteers organized a campaign ‘Swacchata Pakhwara’ to spread the awareness among everyone about cleanliness. The volunteers actively participated in the campaign, a drive to clean the litter in and around the college. The volunteers also influenced other students to keep their surroundings clean and spread the awareness.
PLANTATION DRIVE(Coordinated by Damini and Pooja)
The volunteers of NSS organized a Plantation Drive to spread awareness among individuals about the significance of trees. In the campaign, the Principal, Dr. Manjula Dass, was invited, and various saplings were planted in college campus. The volunteers planted 40 saplings in all, and took the pledge to take care of them till they grow up. Green environment is our responsibility and should be made a priority.
TEACHING PROGRAMME(Coordinated by Sarvesh)
The volunteers organized a teaching session on 9th September 2019.
The volunteers went to the area beside the Ashok Vihar flyover, and interacted with kids as well as their parents and taught them about hygiene and importance of education. Education is important for children. The parents of the children were asked to send them to schools. The volunteers also provided the children with notebooks and pencils so that they can learn and write.
LIVE SCREENING OF FIT INDIA MOVEMENT
On 29th August, 2019, the volunteers went to the Vice Chancellor convention to see the live screening of the launch of "Fit India Movement" by our Honorable PM Narendra Modi on the birth anniversary of Hockey Legend Dhyan Chand that is celebrated as ‘National Sports Day’ in India. The volunteers were motivated to stay fit and also to inspire others to do the same so that India becomes healthier and fitter.
EOC DOCUMENT VERIFICATION PROGRAMME(Coordinated by Avinash and Harshita)
On 2nd September, 2019, a gathering was organized by EOC for documents verification and form filling of the PWD students for a scholarship. The NSS volunteers actively helped all the professors and the students in getting their work smoothly done.

Challenge had a panel discussion on 7th September, 2019 at IIT Delhi.
Two of NSS Satyawati volunteers participated in the event with full enthusiasm and took back some valuable lessons about road safety and safer living and were also rewarded with certificates of participation.
OATH TAKING CEREMONY(Coordinated by Sanjeev and Sathi Reddy)
On 9th September, 2019, an oath taking ceremony was held in which all the volunteers joined to sing the NSS song together. Thereafter, the volunteers picked up the pamphlets that were strewn in and around the college campus due to election campaigns.
The volunteers, through their active participation, sent the message loud and clear about the duties and responsibilities that we individually and collectively ought to carry on.
INTERNATIONAL OZONE DAY(Coordinated by Vaishnavi and Manasvi)
On International Ozone Day, the volunteers went around the college, and explained to various vendors the fatality of plastic use and smoking. They went around giving paper-bags to various shopkeepers so that they are motivated to avoid plastic. The volunteers talked about the need of saving water and the scarcity that the world faces today
The volunteers took pledge never to use plastic, to protect our environment and ozone, to quit smoking and to save water, so that the world as a whole can get access to clean drinking water.
50th NSS DAY- Golden Jublee(Coordinated by Harshita and Shreya)
On the eve of 50th NSS day, NSS Satyawati organized a series of events.
The day started by singing the NSS song and taking an oath. A Pad Yatra was organized from the college to Ambedkar Chowk. With the posters and the banners held high, they were able to communicate their intentions of banning plastic and preventing pollution.
Thereafter, the volunteers went to various shops to distribute paper bags and request the shopkeepers to not use plastic.
After moving back to the college, they had the Vandana i.e. prayer and then the Principal Dr.Manjula Dass addressed the volunteers and motivated them to be active and inspired them to shoulder the responsibility of keeping India and the environment clean. The volunteers organized a creative essay writing competition on the topic ‘’Is Gandhian ideology relevant in 21st century?’’
There was a huge turn out of students and everyone wrote their views with proper arguments.
The last function of the day was the poster making competition on the topic ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’. The participants made attractive and powerful posters sending strong messages as to how to curb plastic pollution.
LECTURE (by GERMAN AMBASSADOR)
The volunteers of NSS unit of Satyawati College were invited to attend the public lecture which was to be delivered by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to India H.E. Walter J. Lindner on the topic 'Public Diplomacy: Leaving the Cage' on 25th September at the Convention Hall, Vice Regel Lodge, University of Delhi. This was a part of the Ambassadorial Lecture Series initiated by the Delhi School of Transnational Affairs.
The event took place in the presence of the Vice-chancellor, Professor Yogesh K.
Tyagi.
In the scheduled lecture, H.E. Walter shared his experiences ,his views on some of the crucial challenges of the contemporary world like Global Warming, Climate Change, Scarcity of natural resources and the most importantly Population Explosion.
The enthusiasm among the audience was elating. An interactive session between the Ambassador and the NSS Volunteers was also held. The event enriched the young minds with ideas to make the world a better place to live in.
PLOG RUN(Coordinated by Gajendra and Aarti)
NSS Satyawati organized a PLOG run to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The volunteers started the day by taking pledge. Thereafter, they started the PLOG run by jogging in and around the college campus, collecting litter. The volunteers spread awareness around the college highlighting the motto of PLOG run i.e. Fit India and Clean India.
DIWALI COLLECTION DRIVE(Coordinated by Prashant and Riya)
NSS Satyawati organized the Diwali collection drive on 24thOctober, 2019 in the college, for collecting donations to be distributed amongst the underprivileged children. The students, teachers and the non-teaching staff contributed in every way that they could, in cash amount and stationary items.
The volunteers of NSS Satyawati believe that bringing smile on someone’s face is actually what is called festival.
VISIT TO SLUM AREA(Coordinated by Vikas and Suraj)
On 25th October, 2019, the NSS volunteers went to Wazirpur and distributed everything that was collected in the Collection Drive, among the children of the slums. The smiles on the faces of the children were priceless. Diwali of the volunteers indeed became better because they were able to brighten up the Diwali of children who are less privileged than us.

"United we stand, divided we fall"
To mark the birth anniversary of the ‘Iron Man of India’, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, NSS Satyawati organized, in collaboration with NCC Satyawati, a ‘Run for Unity’ wherein the volunteers spread the message that India United, is India Invincible.
VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK(Coordinated by Osama and Pooja)
NSS Satyawati collaborated with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) to mark the Vigilance Awareness Week from 28th October to 2nd November. Therein, two competitions were organized on the topic ‘Integrity -A way of life’:
1. Poster Making Competition
2. Essay Writing Competition
The students actively participated, making the event successful. The panel of judges ended up with an impartial judgment of selecting three presentations having excellent examples, undeniable logic and ideas that previously never came in highlights.
NSS aims to keep organizing such motivational events that help in developing extraordinary skills among students.
BLOOD DONATION CAMP
NSS Satyawati, in collaboration with Noida Charitable Blood Bank and NCC Satyawati, organized a blood donation camp on 31st October 2019. The camp began at 9:30 a.m. with a short inaugural function where in Dr. R.K. Singh stressed on the growing need of blood in the state and commended the young volunteers for their noble act. Each donor was provided with a blood donation certificate and a memento by the "Noida Charitable Blood Bank". The camp concluded at around 3:30 p.m. This was the first Blood Donation Drive organized by NSS Satyawati in this academic year.
