About Me
Associate Professor
Teaching Literatures in English to my students at Satyawati College for more than three decades, I have conversed with them on life and living. The thread that sutures my academic engagements is the intent to address cultural silences and initiate conversations about them, both within and beyond the classroom. As the coordinator of the college Family Counselling Centre (FCC) for more than two decades now, I have endeavoured to keep this conversation going by engaging the student community in a dialogue that initiates an informed understanding of gender, and works towards building a gender-responsive society. My primary areas of interest are Gender Studies, Women�s Writing, and Translation. I translate fiction from Hindi to English.
